Treatment of the Adjacent gingival recessions with the combined envelope and tunnel techniques: A case report

Abstract

This case report describes using of two surgi-cal periodontal plastic procedures together to cover adjacent gingival recessions. The surgi-cal technique is based on the construction of a tunnel under the gingival tissue by means of a sulcular incision beyond the mucogingival line without raising papillae. The use of the tunnel technique not only preserves the papi-llary height between two mucogingival defects, but also helps maintain adequate blood supply to underlying graft. In our case, the graft was placed on the recipient site wit-hout using sutures. In this report, we describe the application of combined envelope and tunnel techniques without using suture to cover gingival recessions on maxillary central incisors and 12-month follow-up.

Özet

Bu olgu raporunda, komşu dişeti çekilmelerinde kök yüzeyini örtmek için kullanılan iki cerrahi işlemin bir arada uygulanması sunulmuştur. Bu cerrahi teknik papili kaldırmayı gerektirmeden mukogingival birleşimi aşan bir sulkular insizyon ile dişetinin altından tünel yapılması temeline dayanır. Bu tünel tekniğinin kullanımı sadece papilin yüksekliğinin korunmasını sağlamaz fakat aynı zamanda alttaki greftin uygun kan desteğinin idamesine de yardımcı olur. Bu raporda üst santral kesicilerdeki dişeti çekilmesinin cerrahi sonrası 12 aylık takibi sunulmuştur.
