Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the effect of new polishing systems on the staining of three posterior composites subjected to coffee, tea and coke and to evaluate the efficiency of repolishing to remove the stain formed before. Hundred and twenty discs (12x2mm) of Sure-Fil, Filtek P60 and Clearfil Photo Posterior were prepared. 1200-grit silicon paper was used to rough the surfaces before polishing 30 s with Sof-Brush and PoGo. Fiue samples/group were immersed in coffee, tea, coke and distilled water. The colors of the resin composites were recorded with a Spectrophotometer at baseline, 1-3-5 and 7-day. After that period, the discs were repolished with the same systems for 30sn and the color was remeasured. All color differences were subjected to ANOVA test. Bu çalışmanın amacı; yeni polisaj sistemlerinin, üç posterior kompozitin kahve, çay ve kola karşısındaki renklenmelerine etkilerini araştırmak ve tekrar polisaj işleminin renklenmeleri ne oranda giderdiğini belirlemektir. SureFil, Filtek P60 ve Clearfil Photo Posterior rezin kompozitlerinden 120 adet, 12x2mm lik diskler hazırlandı. 1200-gritlik silikon karbid zımpara ile pürüzlendirilen örnekler, Sof-Brush ve PoGo ile 30 sn parlatılarak, kahve, çay, kola ve distile su bulunan kaplara beşer adet olarak yerleştirildi. Spektrofotometre cihazı ile kompozitlerin renk ölçümleri; başlangıçta, 1., 3., 5. ve 7. günde yapıldı. Bu süre sonunda, örnekler tekrar 30s parlatıldı ve renkleri ölçüldü.
