Evaluation of Fatigue and Daily Life Activities in Patients with Multiple Sclerosis

Abstract

The aim of this; it was aimed to determine fatigue and activities of daily living in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and additionally affecting factors in fatique. This study was conducted with 82 patients with MS registered to the Neurology Policlinic of A University Faculty of Medicine in the dates September 2015 to semtember 2016. The data were collected by queationnaire including socio-demographic and disease related charactaristics, Fatigue Severity Scale (FVS), Modified Barthell Index (MBI). In our study, it was found that have marital status (p=0.016), working status (p=0.050), story of inflamatory disease (p=0.012) and usage of auxiliary tools while walking have a significant effect on fatigue in patients with MS. Kesitsel olarak planlanan çalışmada; Multiple Skleroz (MS) hastalarında yorgunluğun ve günlük yaşam aktivitelerinin değerlendirilmesi ve etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Araştırma Tekirdağ’da bir Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Nöroloji Polikliniği’ne kayıtlı 82 MS hastası ile Eylül 2015-Eylül 2016 tarihlerini arasında yürütüldü.
