Abstract

Osteoid osteomas in the phalanges of the hand often presentwith atypical clinical and radiologic characteristics. Theseunusual presentations may cause a delay in diagnosis and treatment. In this case, one year after a nonspecific trauma andwith a history of pain of four monthly only, an osteoid osteomaof the proximal phalanx of the left third finger was treated in a21-year-old man
