Abstract

Pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis: a report of two casesPulmonary alveolar microlithiasis is a rare disease with unknown etiology and pathogenesis. Herein, we report two cases of pulmonary alveoler microlithiasis who were suspected to have the disease on chest x-ray and computed tomography. Later the suspect diagnosis was confirmed by open lung biopsy. The first case had a diagnosis of the synchronous occurrence of pleural tuberculosis. In the second case, respiratory failure was diagnosed 30 years after the initial diagnosis.

Özet

Pulmoner alveoler mikrolitiyazis, etiyolojisi ve patogenezi bilinmeyen ender bir hastalıktır. Bu makalede arka-ön akciğer grafisi ve bilgisayarlı tomografi ile bu hastalıktan şüphelenilen ve açık akciğer biyopsisi ile tanı konulan iki olguyu sunduk. Birinci olgu pulmoner alveoler mikrolitiyazis ile eşzamanlı plevral tüberküloza sahipti. İkinci olguda, tanıdan 30 yıl sonraki başvurusunda solunum yetmezliği saptandı.
