Abstract
Endometriosis is defined as the presence of a functional endometrial gland and stromal tissue outside the uterus as a response to ovarian stimuli. Although, it is frequently found in the pelvic organs, and peritoneum in women of the productive age, cases of endometriosis are also seen outside of pelvis predominantly abdominal wall endometriosis. Endometriosis develops in the layers of the abdominal wall after cesarean section or other gynecological operations. We presented cases with two abdominal wall endometriosis which both occured after cesarean sections. One of them was located on the cesarean incision and the other was situated in the rectus abdominis muscle which is unrelated to cesarean incision.
Özet
Endometriozis; overin hormonal uyarısına yanıt veren fonksiyonel endometrial gland ve stromal dokunun uterus dışında bulunması olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Üreme çağındaki kadınlarda sıklıkla pelvik organ ve peritoneumda bulunmakla birlikte abdominal duvar endometrozisi başta olmak üzere pelvis dışı endometriozis olguları da görülmektedir. Abdominal duvarda gelişen endometriozis genellikle sezaryen veya diğer jinekolojik ameliyatlar sonrası oluşmaktadır. Bu olgu sunumunda; sezaryen insizyonunda ve sezaryen insizyonundan ilişkisiz rektus abdominalis kasında bulunan iki ayrı abdominalduvar endometriozis olgusu sunulmuştur.
