Abstract
Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a rare chronic cerebrovasculardisease seen both in children and adults. The disease causesischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, headache, seizures, and transient ischemia attach in children and adults. There isno evidence associating the use of a particular anesthesiatechnique or drug with better outcome after induction or maintenanceof anesthesia in MMD patients. A variety of techniquesand medications are used, each with advantages and disadvantages.Induction may be achieved with inhalation or intravenoustechniques. The goal for anesthesia is to maintain thebalance between the oxygen supply and demand in the brain. The factors like hypocapnie, hypotension should be avoided toprevent cerebral ischemia and cerebral hemorogy. In this case report, we discussed anesthetic management of a15 mount female patient with MMD who presented for twotimes myosynangyosis.
