Abstract
Since gravity anomalies of oil and gas reservoirs are weak, they have been processed specifically in the gravity studies for hydrocarbon exploration. Andreev-Griffin (AG) is the method that used for exploration of hydrocarbon by examined gravity data. Anomalies due to radius indicate the effects of anomal density variations between z=0.5r and z=0.7r depths in the AG transforms. Andreev-Griffin method gives the relative minimum anomalies where the density decrease and the relative maximum anomalies where the density increase. AG method was applied to gravity anomaly data of the Erzurum, Horasan and Pasinler region, located northern East Anatolia. Previous studies showed that this area was a perspective region point of view of hydrocarbon. For that reason, the local anomaly maps of the region were calculated and evaluated with this method.
