A Research on the Problem that Arises in Relation to Education of Turkish Language in the Primary Schools

İlköğretim Okullarında Türkçe Eğitimiyle İlgili Problemler Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

This research has been conducted for the purpose of evaluating the problems that arise in relation to education of the Turkish language while passing from the first level of the primary schools to the second level within the viewpoint of the student. Ağrı province has been determined as the universe of the research. The poll questions, which have been prepared as the means of data collection in the research, have been applied to 421 students, who educate in the second level in the three primary schools in the 2003-2004-education year. In accordance with the research data, majority of the students find themselves unsuccessful in the Turkish language education. The reasons, like being crowded of the classes, the being unable of the students at sufficient level, the being unable of the protectors (parents) and the teachers to guide them at the sufficient level, the not entering of the Turkish branch teachers into Turkish language courses starting from the last years of the first level of the primary education, etc. affect their Turkish language education. The being conducted of the necessary works in the direction of the remedying of the problems, which have been determined is necessary for being effective of the Turkish language education.

Özet

Bu araştırma, ilköğretim okullarının birinci kademesinden ikinci kademesine geçişte Türkçe eğitimi ile ilgili ortaya çıkan problemlerin öğrenci görüşleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma evreni olarak Ağrı ili belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak hazırlanan anket soruları, 2003-2004 öğretim yılında üç ilköğretim okulunda ikinci kademede okuyan 421 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verilerine göre, öğrencilerin çoğu kendilerini Türkçe dersinde başarısız bulmaktadırlar. Sınıfların kalabalık olması, öğrencilerin yeterli düzeyde kitap okuyamamaları, veli ve öğretmenlerin kendilerine yetelri düzeyde rehber olamamaları, ilköğretim birinci kademenin son sınıflarından itibaren Türkçe derslerine branş öğretmenlerinin girmemesi vb. onların Türkçe eğitimlerini olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Türkçe eğitiminin etkin olabilmesi için, tespit edilen problemlerin giderilmesine yönelik çalışmaların yapılması gerekmektedir.
