Abstract
The authors report 52 patient who examined traumatic cranial epidural hematoma in the last 10 years. Mortality rate was 3.84 %. Delay in arriving hospital having associated cerebral lesions, seconder complications, age, localization of the hematoma and delay in notice of the patient's condition becoming worse affected the mortality rate. Clinical situations of the patients, result of the treatment and importance of the CT in radiological evaluation were stressed.
Özet
Son 10 yıl (1987-1996) içerisinde 52 hastada travma-tik kranial epidural hematom (EDH) ile karşılaşılmış¬tır. Mortalite % 3.84tûr. Hastaların hastaneye geç müracaat etmesi, diğer serebral lezyonların mevcudi¬yeti, sekonder komplikasyonların ortaya çıkması, yaş, hematomun lokalizasyonu ve hasta durumundaki kö¬tüleşmenin zamanında fark edilmemesi, mortaliteyi etkilemiştir. Hastaların kliniği, tedavi neticeleri ve tet¬kik yöntemleri içinde Bilgisayarlı Beyin Tomografi-si'nin (BBT) önemi belirtilmeye çalışılmıştır.
