Les Relations Humaines Dans Müfettişler Melih Cevdet Anday et les Chaises D'Eugene Ionesco

Abstract

This comparative study will examine "The Chairs" by Ionesco, one of the pioneers of absurd theatre and "Müfettişler" (The Inspectors) by Melih Cevdet Anday, contemporary Turkish poet, novelist and playwright. In each play, that narrates its epoch, the author reveals common themes within the framework of human relationships. In taking into consideration that the plays are respectively composed of couples, the author can use comparisons of relationships between spouses, whic are the focus of the plays. Resembling each other in many ways, the couples live 'a second youth' of their lives while sharing the same vision towards their home, their families and their professions.
