Lire "Bir Kadın Düşmanı" Par le Biais du Langage Corporel Balzacien

Abstract

In this study we have tried to provide evidence regarding the remarkable similarities between the physical appearances and the characters of Homongolos Ziya and Sara in Guntekin's An Enemy of Women and Felipe Hernarez and Louise in Balzac's Memoirs of Two Brides. After a thorough reading, we notice that Balzac created his romantic characters through a method that draws on several scientific domaines such as phrenology, physiology and physiognomy, while Güntekin did not care about science while creating his characters.
