Fransız Şiirinden İlk Çeviriler ve Alfred de Musset'nin Türk Şairlerine Etkisi

Abstract

It is well-known that the translations into Turkish of various French poems that fiinasi published entitled Tercüme-i Manzume (Poetic Translations) were the first contacts that Turkish poets had with French poetry. Later Racine, de Lamartine and de Gilbert were replaced by the French neo-classisists and romantics from the 1880’s onwards. In this framework, Alfred de Musset and more specifically his poem, Rappelle-toi, was well-known and liked by Turkish poets. The new translations in short intervals of this poem, that was first translated by Nigâr Hanım, and the adaptations made from these translations immediately show its impact. The influence of de Musset on our poetry is finally materialized through the poem by Tevfik Fikret entitled Musset için (For Musset) which increased the fame of the French poet.
