Abstract

Images have always existed in human life and authors have used artistic imagery as a fruitful and absolute form of expression. This is the reason André Breton chose to analyze imagery which he views as a source of light helping to enable humans to detect the hidden meaning behind the literary word. On the other hand, Louis Aragon views the analysis of imagery as an astounding field of study freeing the soul within frozen casts and orienting a new way of thinking about the world. The joint works of surrealist poets and painters of their times (like Miro, Arp, Magritte and others) are also very well known. These efforts have yielded the birth of the spirit of the unity of painting and music, leaving deep traces on the creativity of the surrealists.
