Abstract

Hélène Dorion, the most widely read poet in Quebec, is an extremely talented woman very involvedin poetry and in different fields of creative writing (teacher, literary critic, editor, etc.). She alsoaddresses issues concerning the eternal human condition. Essentially, for Hélene Dorion, writing isa way to collect links and work on language and is among other things a way to link the word andthe thing, trying to unite. Hailed internationally, Hélène Dorion, multidisciplinary artist, a vibrantand passionate poet who was recognized both in Quebec and in France and Belgium, has beeninducted into the Académie des lettres du Québec in 2006 and in November 2005, she became thefirst Canadian to win the prestigious poetry of Mallarmé Academy, awarded in France by a jury ofthirty poets. After receiving the Governor General’s Award for her collection Ravir: Places, sheis devoting a retrospective of 800 pages, Fragile world, frail things. The most widely read poet inQuebec, this extremely talented woman is very involved in poetry and in different fields of creativewriting (teacher, literary critic, editor, etc.). And she addresses issues concerning the eternal human condition. In our work, we propose to examine his autobiography Days of sand and his essay On thearch of time to closely study the issues which Hélène Dorion is concerned with.
