DISCOURSES OF TRAVEL : ALTERNATION BETWEEN THE EXPERIENCE AND THE KNOWN

Abstract

This work aims to study the modes of presence of the subject and the degree of subjectivity in the discourses of travel concerning the city of Istanbul. We propose to address the issue of the presence in the discourse of travel by analyzing three types of discourse (the travel texts, travel notebooks and tourist guides) with the help of semiotics of enunciation, the semiotics of presence and visual semiotics
