Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe the category of new fantastique (neofantastique) in texts of a contemporary Belgian writer – Anne Duguël. In Duguël’s fantastique traditional elements (motives and writing styles) are combined with some new aspects which are absent in the category of traditional fantastique. Anne Duguël examines such themes as feminity, feminism, and gender. These aspects are discussed in this paper
