Abstract
One of the most profound transformations originating from capitalist course and modernisation in human life is the ending of a rural and agricultural lifestyle, thus bringing forth the condensation of life in urban areas. This condensation has resulted in the rise of the Metropolis phenomenon- which itself is a structure- and a denomination specific to modern ages. On the other hand, the question of what types of expressions form ideology, an important component of human's ideational world, and a may to manifest self is always frequently emphasized bycontemporary sociologists. The studies of contemporary sociologists in this field have shown that space has transformed into a phenomenon that cannot be interpreted independent of ideologies. The point of this study is to examine how and to what extend this phenomen has been reflected on any literary work. To this end, Tahsin Yücel's work "Gökdelen" is to be examined through sociological criticism methods
