Abstract
objective and scientific rules in translation analysis and critics domains. The theoreticians who considered translation studies as a sub-domain of linguistics, has until now been satisfied to use translation as a mean to distinguish the differences between one language and another. By considering linguistics and translation studies, which are two modes of communication in semiotics which subject is to study all modes of communication, it is possible to assign a scientific status to translation studies and analysis thanks to the rules and theories of this science. In this way, translation would cease to be a simple domain of research or an art. For that purpose, as one of the most important semiologists of today, Umberto Eco states that to take the theory of Charles Morris which classifies the signs the best and to put it into practice in the traslations’ evaluation will make translation more than a simple comparative study
