Abstract

The intellectual is someone who, above all, questions all events that happen around him/her and in the world, thinks about them and in interpreting them always tries to be objective and can explore the unknown relations among events and establish connections between them. Intellectuals have habitually tried to address society, based on reason, within the framework of a point of view that is shared and accepted by society. After the fall of the socialist system, intellectuals claimed that they had fulfilled their duty and actually lost their function. Nevertheless, it is obvious that these discussions will never end and will continue to be on the agenda. Intellectuals will always exist as long as they accomplish their mission and they will be on the agenda in spite of their identities and their status, obliged to reform themselves according to the ever-changing social conditions
