Abstract
Baudelaire who addresses a poet in some of his poems attributes him a certain function. The poet, seeing the world as a “forest of symbols”, having a sensitive spirit and consciousness of being different of his counterparts, tries to unveil the mystery hidden behind appearance and to attain the poetic beauty through the magic of words. Thanks to his power of demiurge, the poet of the city but not of the nature anymore, reveals another universe by transcending reality. The poet who reflects his creators’ image in search of the ideal, becomes the interpreter of humanistic life by feeling he comes before society despite his exile in the world.
