Investigating Nicholas of Cusa's Thought by the Help of Küçükömer and Ülken's Philosophical Attitudes

Özet

Çalışmada öncelikli olarak Cusalı Nikolaus'un eserlerinde öne çıkan temalardan hareketle, bilimsel düşüncesinin gelişim seyri ve bu seyri hazırlayan fikir uğrakları saptanacaktır. Bu fikirlerin Türkiye bilim ve felsefe tarihindeki yeri, İdris Küçükömer ve Hilmi Ziya Ülken'in felsefî tavırlarından hareketle incelenecektir. İzlenecek olan bu ilişkilendirmelerle birlikte Cusalı Nikolaus'un bakışının felsefe, matematik, hukuk, teoloji, yönetim ve siyaset bilimi, sosyoloji ve iktisat düşüncesi üzerindeki etkileri tartışılacaktır.

Abstract

This study primarily aims to explore how and with the help of what ideas scientific thought has transformed in the works of Nicholas of Cusa. This subject will be carried to the history of science and to that of philosophy in Turkey with critical examination of İdris Küçükömer and Hilmi Ziya Ülken. Besides these associations, the influence of Cusa on philosophy, mathematics, law, theology, political science, public adminstration, sociology and economic thought will also be discussed.
