Abstract
The book called Sevad al-A'zam is one of the works of the theology school of Maturidi in the first period. The works of Hakim as-Semerkandi and Abu Djafer Tahawi are summarized creeds of Islam according to the way of Abu Hanifa with the method of Salaf. While studying the matters of Akida of Tahavi without proof in short and essential, Semarkandi explains them with more kernel, rational and revelational proofs.

Sevâdü'l-A'zam Mâtüridî kelâm ekolünün ilk dönem eserlerinden birisidir. Hakim es-Semerkandî ile Ebu Cafer Tahavî'nin eserleri îslâm akaidini Ebû Hanife'nin görüşleri doğrultusunda selef metoduna bağlı kalarak özetlemektedir. Tahâvî akâid meselelerini kısa ve özlü ifadelerle delilsiz olarak işlerken, Semerkandî daha özlü, veciz, en önemlisi de aklî ve naklî delillere dayanarak izah etmektedir.
