The Anatomy of a Translated Text

Abstract

In this study, one of the works of Friedrich Dürrenmatt translated into Turkish with the title "Midas ya da siyah perde" by Mustafa Tüzel; which is known as "Midas oder die schwarze Leinwand" in German; is studied on lexical; syntactic and semantic levels. The data obtained through analyses on those mentioned levels have been examined with respect to problems reced due to the differences between the target language - Turkish - and the language in which the wort has been written. The sources of mentioned problems have been questioned in the lighis of syntectic, semantic and morphological findings so that some suggestions for the improvements of faulty parts in the work could be made.

Bu çalışmada , Türkçeye Mustafa Tüzel tarafından "Midas ya da siyah perde" adı ile aktarılan "Midas oder die schwarze Leinwand" adlı eserin çevirisi, sözcük, sözdizimi ve anlam düzeylerinde incelenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme bilimsel veriler ışığında gerçekleştirilerek, çeviride karşılaşılan hedef dile aktarım sorunları ele alınmış ve bu sorunlu aktarımların nereden/nasıl kaynaklandığı sözdizimi, anlambilim, biçimbilim alanlarının ortaya koyduğu bilgiler ışığında saptanmıştır. Bu saptamalar çerçevesinde sözü edilen sorunlu aktarımların düzeltilmelerine yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
