Abstract

Habip Sahir, who was born in Tebriz, led a life with political social and economic conflicts in South Azerbaijan. Sahir gave an important place to social and political motives in his poems like other national poems. The philosophy of his art is based on ballads, lullabies and stories he heard from his mother. The main subjects he used in his poems are motherland, nation, freedom, human rights and peace. He worked for his nation to be free, independent and happy. He wrote his poems in Turkish in spite of all bad conditions. He has also Persian poems. He said that he was the poet of all the Turks living under occupation. He awakened national conscious of the Turks in Azerbaijan.

Özet

Tebriz'de dünyaya gelen Habip Sahir'in hayatı, Güney Azerbaycan'da meydana gelen birtakım siyasî, sosyal ve iktisadî çalkantılar içerisinde geçer. Sahir şiirlerinde, diğer millî şairler gibi sosyal ve siyasî motiflere çok geniş olarak yer verir. Sanatının temelini, çocukluk yıllarında anasından duyduğu maniler, ninniler ve masallar oluşturur. Şiirlerinde ele aldığı konuların başında vatan, millet, hürriyet, hak, adalet, ve barış yer alır. Mensubu olduğu milletin hür, bağımsız ve mutlu yaşaması için çalışır. Her türlü olumsuz şartlara rağmen şiirlerini Türkçe yazar. Farsça şiirleri de vardır. Bütün esir Türk ellerinin şairi olduğunu söyler. Güney Azerbaycan Türklerindeki millî şuuru şahlandırır.
