Abstract
This study focused on identification and explanation of the Âs, Âsiyâ and Âsiyâb words in the couplets of the Classıcal Turkısh Lıterature. The word of mill were used in different forms with real meanings and reflections to the symbols in these sources: Mill was used as word, heart meanings. However, millstone was used for the characteristres of turning, moaning, grinding, spreading, weight.
Özet
Bu çalısmada Klasik Türk Edebiyatında “Âs, Âsiyâ, Âsiyâb” kelimelerinin beyitlerde nasıl kullanıldıgı tespit edilip gösterilmeye çalısıldı. Degirmen anlamında olan kelime asli anlamında kullanıldıgı gibi benzetme ve sembol olarak da kullanılmıstır. Degirmen; dünya ve gönül anlamında, degirmen tası ise dönmek, inlemek, ögütmek, saçmak, agırlık özellikleriyle kullanılmıstır.
