Population Characteristics of the Ören Creek (Elazığ) Basın

Abstract

In this study, the special characteristics of the Ören Creek Basin (which takes place in the upper part of the Euphrates in the East of Anatolia) with a population which reaches 8442 people (year: 2000), are examined. The Ören Creek Basin, displayed an increase in the population between 1935-2000 in certain periods of time, whereas in certain periods there was a decrease. Natural and artificial factors influenced the decrease and increase of the population in accordance with the global level and the developments in our country. The increase and decrease of population was influenced by natural and humane factors, it caused the arithmetic and physiologic change of population, the number of population in settlements, the sexual structure, and the education of individuals. The most important characteristic of Ören Stream Basin according to population is large amount of migration in summer and winter terms between country and urban settlements. I have done this study called “Human and Economic Geography of Ören Stream Basin” with an aim, explain the needs hopes and problems of the population in ÖSB and solve in a geographical approach and also to watch for the result in the following years, to compare and to test and explain.

Özet

Bu çalışmada Ülkemizin Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi Yukarı Fırat Bölümünde yer alan 8442 kişiye varan (2000) nüfus miktarı ile kendine has bir takım özelliğe sahip Ören Çay Havzasının nüfusunun özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ören Çay Havzasında 1935–2000 yılları arası dönemde bazı dönemler nüfusta artışı, bazı dönemlerde ise nüfusta azalmalar görülmüştür. Global düzeyde ve ülkemizde yaşanan gelişmelere bağlı olarak doğal ve beşeri faktörler nüfusun artışına ve azalmasına etki etmiştir. Doğal ve beşeri faktörlerin etkilediği nüfus artışı ve azalması nüfusun aritmetik ve fizyolojik nüfus yoğunlukları, yerleşmelerin nüfus büyüklüğü, cinsiyet yapısını ve eğitim durumunun değişmesini sağlamıştır. Ören Çay Havzasının nüfus açısından en önemli özelliği yaz ve kış dönemlerinde kırsal kesim ile şehirsel kesim arasında fazla sayıda nüfus göçü görülmektedir. Ören Çay Havzasındaki nüfusun sosyo-ekonomik ihtiyaçları, beklentileri, problemleri, çözümleri coğrafi bakış açısıyla ortaya koymak, sorunlara çözümler üretmek ileri ki yıllarda sonuçlarını gözlemlemek, karşılaştırmak ve değerlendirmek amacıyla Ören Çay Havzasının nüfus özellikleri adlı bir çalışma yaptım.
