Abstract

There are ethical principles to be complied by teachers during working. To providestudents’ development being complied with these principles is a moral imperative as well asprofessional. In this study, levels of compliance with ethical principles of teachers' professionalwere analyzed according to students’ views. This study was performed by sampling 380 studentsstudying in secondary schools. It was concluded that teachers complied with ethical principles ofprofessional largely. However, students stated that their teachers were not enough to reward onlycorrect behaviors

Özet

Öğretmenlerin görevlerini yaparken uymak zorunda oldukları etik ilkeler vardır. Öğrencinin gelişmesini sağlayacak bu ilkelere uyulması, mesleki olduğu kadar ahlaki bir zorunluluktur. Bu araştırmada öğrenci görüşlerine göre öğretmenlerin mesleki etik ilkelere uyma düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma, ortaöğretim okullarında öğrenim gören 380 öğrenci örnekleme alınarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmenlerinin mesleki etik ilkelere büyük ölçüde uyduğu görülmüştür. Ancak öğrenciler, öğretmenlerinin sadece doğru davranışları ödüllendirme konusunda çok da yeterli olmadıklarını ifade etmişlerdir.
