Role of the free oxygen radicals on the pathogenesis of the diseases

Abstract
Oxidative stress develops when there is an increase in the amounts of the radicals produced invivo during metabolism and rendered harmless by antioxidants. It is known that, free oxygenradicals affect the host and virulence of pathogens and reported to be particles causing evensome viral and chronic pathogenesis of diseases. In this review, the connection between oxidantsand pathogenesis of some viral and chronic diseases are examined.

Canl ı larda metabolizma s ı ras ı nda üretilen ve antioksidanlar tarafı ndan zarars ı z hale getirilenradikallerin miktarı fazla oldu ğ unda oksidatif stres geli ş ir. Serbest oksijen radikallerinin konakçı y ı vepatojenlerin virulans ı n ı etkiledi ğ i, hatta baz ı viral ve kronik hastal ı kları n patogenezisinden sorumlupartikül oldu ğ u bildirilmektedir.
