Pneumatosis intestinalis after colonoscopy: Case report

Abstract
We describe a 53 years old woman who developed Pneumatozis İntestinalis after colonoscopy. The plain abdominal X-Ray demonstrated subdyaphragmatic free air. During laparatomy cystic lesions which contained gas collection were seen along transverse colon, hepatic flexure and intestinal mesenterium. There was no intestinal perforation and patient was discharged without any problem after 8 days following the operation.

53 yaşında bayan hastada, kolonoskopi sonrası perforasyon şüphesi ile çekilen ayakta direk karın grafisinde diafragma altında serbest hava gözlendi. Eksplorasyonda transvers kolon, hepatik fleksura ve ince bağırsak mezosunda yer yer hava içeren kistik yapılar gözlendi. Ancak herhangi bir intestinal perforasyon alanına rastlanmadı. Hasta operasyondan 8 gün sonra problemsiz taburcu edildi.
