A light microscopic on the os penis in rat

Abstract
In the current study, postnatal development of proximal segment and distal segment of the os penis in rats were examined. These rats divided into four age groups of 10,30,60 and 90 days old, respectively. Five rats were studied at each age group. Total 20 albino-rat (Rattus Norvegicus) were used. The proximal segment of the os penis developed as a hyaline cartilage. At 10 days after birth the mature chondrocytes were appeared and the endochondral ossification started. The distal segment of the os penis developed as a fibrocartilage. At 10 days, the chondrocytes weren't encountered. At 30 days, the mature chondrocytes were appeared in the fibrocartilage. At 60 days, endochondral ossification started. The growth of the os penis completed by the second months of life.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, ratlarda os penis'in proksimal ve distal segmentlerinin postnatal gelişimi incelendi. Ratlar, sırasıyla 10,30,60 ve 90 günlük olmak üzere 4 gruba ayrıldı. Her grupta 5 rat olmak üzere toplam 20 rat kullanıldı. Os penisin proksimal segmenti hiyalin kıkırdak gibi gelişti. 10 günlüklerde olgun kondrositler göründü ve endokondral kemikleşme başladı. Os penis'in distal segmenti fibröz kıkırdak gibi gelişti. 10 günlüklerde kondrositlere rastlamlmadı.30 günlüklerde fibröz kıkırdak içerisinde olgun kondrositler göründü. 60 günlüklerde endokondral kemikleşme başladı. Os penis'in büyümesi hayatın ikinci ayında tamamlandı.
