Abstract
In this study, aerobic bacterial flora of abnormal liver of broiler chickens was investigated Between Oct.1991 and Oct. 1992 78.000 chicken livers were examined for abnormal appaerance. One hundred and fifty liver with morphological abnormalities were included in the study. Each sample was cultured on growth media in aerobic conditions. There was no growth in 46 samples. In 95 samples out of 104 samples , there were bacterial growth. In 63.3% of samples, only one bacterial species was isolated. In the rest of the samples (6%), two bacterial species were found. The most frequently isolated bacterium was E.coli with 38% frequency. This was followed by Staph. aureus (24%), Streptococcus spp. (6.66%), Salmonella gallinarum (4.66%), and Salmonella enteritidis (2%). The results of this study indicate that human and animal pathogens such as E.coli, Staph. aureus, Streptococcus spp. and S. enteritidis are frequently encountered in the liver lesions of chicken slaughtered in slaughterhouse.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, broiler piliçlerin mezbahada kesildiklerinde normal görünümde olmayan karaciğerlerinin aerobik bakteriyel florası incelenmiştir. Ekim-1991 ile Ekim-1992 yılları arasındaki 1 yıllık süre içerisinde 78.000 adet piliç karaciğeri incelenmiş, morfolojik değişimler gösteren 150 adet karaciğerden aerobik olarak bakteriyolojik ekimler yapılmıştır. Bunlardan 46 numunede üreme olmamış, 104 numunede üreme olmuştur. 95 (%63) adetinde mikroorganizmalar tek, 9 (%6)'unda iki etken birlikte üremiştir.
