Necati Öner and Turkish Thought

Abstract

Necati Öner is one of the founders of contemporary Turkish philosophy. He established an intellectual and spiritual bridge between his teachers and students. He removed philosophy from being merely an academic activity. He is a thinker who brought him together with society and culture. His research interests include science and logic understanding in Turkey, the origin of logic, human freedom, mindset issues, national mentality and national unity, thought and language relationship, such as philosophy and logic training and many more can be counted. The main subject and purpose of this study is to be able to be aware and interpret to a certain extent of Öner’s philosophical heritage.

Özet

Necati Öner, çağdaş Türk felsefesinin kurucu örneklerinden biridir. Hocaları ve öğrencileri arasında entelektüel ve manevi bir köprü kurmuştur. Felsefeyi salt bir akademik etkinlik olmaktan çıkaran, toplum ve kültür ile buluşturan, felsefi tutum sahibi bir düşünürdür. İlgilendiği konular arasında Türkiye’de ilim ve mantık anlayışı, mantığın menşei, insan hürriyeti, zihniyet meselesi, milli zihniyet ve milli birlik, dil ve düşünce ilişkisi, felsefe ve mantık eğitimi gibi ve daha niceleri sayılabilir. Bu çalışmanın ana konusu ve amacı Öner’in felsefi mirasının bir nebze olsun farkında olabilmek ve yorumlamaktır.
