Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of two different types of exercise, voluntary and forced, on motor activity and anxiety in a neurotoxic parkinsonian mouse model.Methods: Parkinsonian mice exposed to neurotoxin underwent voluntary exercise (VE) and moderate forced exercise (FE). The motor activity levels were then measured using the rotarod and pole test. Anxiety was assessed using an open-field test (OFT) and elevated plus maze (EPM) test.Results: Bradykinesia, a motor dysfunction, was assessed using the pole test.
