Abstract
It is an undeniable fact that the institutions and organizations that internalized theoccupational safety culture are more successful in the working life. Although thedevelopments in technology have helped to make the work in a shorter time and withmodern methods, we are still witnessing the seriousness of occupational accidents in ourpresent life. Furthermore, we cannot even say that the developments in legislationcontributed a lot to the prevention of work accidents. This is not particularly different inthe mining sector. Qualification of personnel, importance of proactive approach inorganizations, keeping of accident records statistically, and analyzing cause and effectrelations will give positive direction to the corporate future of organizations. Within the scope of the present study, the work accidents that occurred in both surfaceand subsurface facilities in an underground lignite enterprise located in Soma Region(Manisa) in 2018 were analyzed. Accident frequency, accident weight and accidentprobability rates are calculated by analyzing the accident types in the light of theinformation emerged as a result of these calculations.
Özet
İş güvenliği kültürünü içselleştirmiş kurum ve kuruluşların çalışma hayatında daha başarılı olduğu yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Her ne kadar teknolojide ortaya çıkan gelişmeler, işin daha kısa sürede ve modern yöntemlerle yapılmasına destek olsa da halen iş kazalarının gündemdeki yerini ciddiyetle muhafaza ettiğine şahit olmaktayız. Ayrıca, mevzuattaki gelişmelerin dahi iş kazalarının önlenmesine çok fazla katkı sağladığını söyleyemeyiz. Bu durum, özellikle madencilik sektöründe de farklı değildir. Personelin kalifiye olması, işletmelerde proaktif yaklaşıma önem verilmesi, kaza kayıtlarının istatistiki olarak tutulması ve neden-sonuç ilişkilerin irdelenmesi, işletmelerin kurumsal geleceklerine olumlu anlamda yön verecektir.Bu çalışma kapsamında Soma (Manisa) havzasında yer alan bir yeraltı linyit işletmesinde 2018 yılında hem yeraltı hem de yerüstü tesislerinde meydana gelen iş kazalarının analizi yapılmıştır. Kaza türleri incelenerek söz konusu kazalar, kaza sıklık, kaza ağırlık ve kaza olabilirlik oranlarının hesaplanması sonucunda ortaya çıkan bilgiler ışığında yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır.
