A Comparative Analysis of Elementary Mathematics Teachers' Examination Questions And SBS Mathematics Questions According To Bloom's Taxonomy

Abstract

This study has been planned for the purpose of comparative analysis ofexamination questions of elementary mathematics teachers and mathematicsquestions of Placement Examination (SBS) for 6th, 7th and 8th grades in 2010 interms of Bloom's Taxonomy. Document analysis method was used in this study.Accordingly, 715 examination questions mathematics teachers working in 12different primary schools asked in 2009-2010 academic year and 54 mathematicsquestions for 6th, 7th and 8th grades in SBS in 2010 were examined and classifiedby a committee including 3 mathematics educators. As a result, it was seen that 6th,7th and 8th grade examination questions and SBS questions were generallyconcentrated on lower cognitive levels (Knowledge, Understanding andApplication)

Özet

Bu çalışmada, ilköğretim matematik öğretmenlerinin sınav soruları ile 2010yılı 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf Seviye Belirleme Sınavları (SBS) matematik sorularınınkarşılaştırmalı analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmada doküman incelemesi yöntemikullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda 12 farklı ilköğretim okulunda görev yapan matematiköğretmenlerinin 2009-2010 eğitim öğretim yılında sınavlarda sordukları 715 soru ile2010 yılı 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf SBS de sorulan 54 matematik sorusu 3 matematikeğitimcisinden oluşan bir komisyon tarafından incelenmiş ve sınıflandırılmıştır.Sonuç olarak 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf sınav soruları ve SBS sorularının genellikle alt bilişselseviyelerde (Bilgi, Kavrama ve Uygulama) yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür
