Abstract
De Zayas who has retired as the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights and who teaches international law at the Geneva School of Diplomacy, has published a book entitled "The Genocide against the Armenians 1915-1923 and The Relevance of the 1948 Genocide Convention" at the Haigazian University in Beirut. In the following article, a detailed analysis of the book will be made and the allegations put forth by de Zayas will be refuted with scientific data.
Özet
Birleşmiş Milletler İnsan Hakları Komitesi'nin sekreterliği görevinden emekli olan ve Cenevre Diplomasi Okulu'nda uluslararası hukuk dersi veren Alfred de Zayas, 2010 yılında Beyrut'taki Ermeni Hagazian Üniversitesi'nde "1948 Soykırımı Sözleşmesi Bağlamında 1915-1923 Ermenilere Karşı İşlenen Soykırımı Suçu" başlığı ile bir eser yayımlamıştır. Makalemizde söz konusu eserin ayrıntılı bir tahlili yapılırken, Zayas'ın ileriye sürdüğü iddialar bilimsel verilerle çürütülecektir.
