The surgical treatment of supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children

Abstract

Supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children that have great importance because of their complications and frequent incidence have been increasingly treated operatively in recent years. In this paper, 30 children have been evaluated in Amasya Ruhi Tingiz Memorial Hospital between 4-15 years old with supracondylar fractures of the humerus treated by open reduction and internal fixation. Eightythree point three percent of the patients by the range of motion and 86.7% of them by the carrying angle have been found out in excellent or good condition.

Özet

Komplikasyonları ve sık görülmesi nedeniyle özel bir önemi olan çocuk suprakondiler humerus kırıkları, son yıllarda giderek artan oranda cerrahi olarak tedavi edilmeye başlanmıştır. BU çalışmada Amasya Ruhi Tingiz Devlet Hastanesinde açık redaksiyon ve internal fiksasyonla tedavi edilen suprakondiler humerus kırıktı 4-15 yas arasındaki 30 çocuğun durumu gözden geçirildi. Vakaların hareket genişliği yönünden %83.3'ü, taşıma açısı yönünden ise %86.7'si çok iyi ve iyi grupta bulundu.
