Abstract

Left coronary artery originating from the pulmonary artery is the most common congenital abnormality causing myocardial infarction in childhood. In this abnormality the blood supply to the left ventricular myocardium is compromised. Soon after birth, as the pulmonary arterial pressure falls, the perfusion pressure to the left coronary artery becomes inadequate; this may result in myocardial infarction and flbrosis. A 10-day-old boy -was admitted with the complaints of respiratory distress and cyanosis. He was diagnosed as having abnormal left coronary artery originating from the pulmonary artery at postmortem examination and the case presented because of its rarity.

Özet

Çocukluk çağında miyokard infarktüsüne en sık neden olan konjenital kalp hastalığı sol koroner arterin pulmoner arterden çıkış anomalisidir. Bu anomalide sol ventrikül miyokardının beslenmesi bozulmuştur; doğumdan hemen sonra pulmoner arter basıncı düştüğünden sol koroner arterin perfüzyon basıncı yetersiz kalmakta ve miyokardda infarktüs ve flbrozis oluşmaktadır, bu makalede nefes darlığı ve morarma şikayetleriyle getirilip, postmortem incelemede sol koroner arterin pulmoner arterden çıkış anomalisi tespit edilen 10 günlük bir vaka nadir görüldüğünden dolayı sunulmuştur.
