Dev Thornwaldt kisti: Olgu raporu

Abstract

Thornwaldt cyst develops if the opening of the bursa to the nasopharynx is obstructed due to infections, adenoidectomy, or radiotherapy. In this manuscript, a 53-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital with the complaint of nasal obstruction wasdiscussed. In his nasopharyngoscopic examination, a smooth-surfaced, frustrating coana was found. Computerized tomographyrevealed a cystic lesion. This lesion was not destroying the bones, and it was marsupialized under general anesthesia with thediagnosis of Thornwaldt cyst.

Özet

Bursanın nazofarinkse açılışı; enfeksiyonlar, adenoidektomi veya radyoterapi nedeniyle tıkanırsa Thornwaldt kisti gelişir. Bu yazıda, burun tıkanıklığı şikayeti ile hastaneye başvuran 53 yaşındaki bir erkek tartışılacaktır. Nazofaringoskopik incelemesinde, düzgün yüzeyli, sıkıntı verici bir koana bulundu. Bilgisayarlı tomografi kistik lezyon gösterdi. Bu lezyon kemikleri tahrip etmiyordu ve Thornwaldt kisti tanısı ile genel anestezi altında marsupiyalize edildi.
