Perceptions of Student Teachers' Professional Competences Acquired Through School Experience

Öğretmen Adaylarının Okul Deneyiminin Kazandırdığı Mesleki Yeterliklere İlişkin Algıları

Abstract

School experience (practicum) in schools is the central component of initial teacher education and training both in our country and many other countries. The purpose of the study is to determine the perceptions of student teachers in the Education Faculty, Department of Fine Arts of the universities regarding the competences included in the school experience by the practice schools. The data for this study was obtained from an inventory including 22 items and developed using Likert-type scales. The population of this study is 276 students studying in different universities. Means, variance analysis, and the scheffĞ test were used to analyze the data. The findings reveal that there are significant differences between the averages of student teachers in the Primary Schools and Anatolian Fine Arts High Schools.

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, farklı üniversitelerin Eğitim Fakültelerindeki Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümlerinde okumakta olan öğretmen adaylarının, uygulama yaptıkları okullara göre,.Okul Deneyimi uygulamasının kazandırdığı mesleki yeterliklere ilişkin algılarının nasıl olduğunu belirlemektir. Bu çalışma için gerekli olan veriler 22 maddeden oluşan Likert tipi bir ölçekle toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi farklı üniversitelerde okuyan 276 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde ortalama, varyans analizi ve Sheffe Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, İlköğretim Okulları ile Anadolu Güzel Sanatlar Liselerinde uygulamalara katılan Öğretmen adaylarının ortalamaları arasında anlamlı farkın olduğunu ortaya çıkarmıştır.
