The Views of Faculty Members on Developing Effective Teaching Skills

Abstract
In recent years, demand for effective teaching skills from faculty members has increased. Consequently, the Higher Education Council has attempted to meet this demand by placing higher level courses into graduate schools for educating faculty members. In this context, the main purpose of the present study was to describe the views of the faculty in regard to receiving effective teaching skills training.

Son yıllarda öğretim elemanlarının etkili öğretim becerilerinin eğitimine olan talep artmıştır. Yükseköğretim kurumu da bu talebi karşılamak üzere lisansüstü öğretim programlarına öğretim elemanlarının eğitimine yönelik dersler koymuştur. Bu bağlamda, araştırmadaki temel amaç, öğretim elemanlarının etkili öğretim becerilerini geliştirmeye yönelik eğitim ile ilgili görüşlerini belirlemektir.
