The Relationship Between Students' Academic Grades and OSS Scores

ÖSS'ye Kaynaklık Eden Alan Derslerindeki Başarı ile ÖSS'den Elde Edilen Puanlar Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the means of students' academic grades and their ÖSS scores. To achieve this, the mean of student academic grades has been treated as a cluster variable and their ÖSS points as another cluster variable and the multiple relationships between the variables were analyzed by the Canonical Correlation analysis. As a result of this research, it has been thought that useful information has been obtained about predictive validity of ÖSS and degree of relationship between high school academic grades and ÖSS scores.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin ortaöğrenim ders basan puanlan ortalaması ile ÖSS puanlan arasındaki ilişkiyi ve ağırlığını tespit etmektir. Bu amaçla öğrencilerin ortaöğrenim ders başarı puanlan ortalaması bir küme değişkeni, değişik türde hesaplanan ÖSS puanlan da diğer bir küme değişkeni olarak ele alınıp değişkenler arasındaki çoklu ilişki Kanonik Korelasyon ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda ÖSS'nin yordama geçerliğine ve ortaöğretim başarı puanlarının, ÖSS puanlarıyla ne derece ilişkili olduğuna ilişkin bulgular elde edilmiştir.
