Secondary Education Teachers' Opinions About the Chemistry Curriculum Implement in Secondary Education in 1992

Abstract

This study aims to examine the opinions of secondary school teachers about the chemistry curricula which have been implemented in Turkey since 1992. For this purpose, a survey has been conducted with chemistry teacher working for 66 state schools selected in 21 randomly selected cities. The total number of chemistry teachers leading other chemistry teachers (chemistry head-teachers) in their schools is 50. The rate and percentage of the responses from the teachers to each question has been obtained. As the results suggest, 70% of the teachers have stated that the chemistry curricula have important problems and deficiencies.

Özet

Bu çalışmada, ortaöğretim öğretmenlerinin 1992'den beri uygulanan kimya müfredatları ile ilgili görüşleri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla, 21 ilimizden rasgele seçilen 66 devlet lisesi kimya öğretmenlerine Öğretmen Anketi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan toplam kimya zümre başkanı sayısı 50'dir. Öğretmenlerin her bir anket sorusuna verdikleri cevapların frekans ve yüzdeleri elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda, öğretmenlerin % 70'i kimya müfredatlarında uygulamaya yönelik eksiklik ve aksaklıkların olduğunu belirtmişlerdir.
