The History of Information and the Place of Information in Education

Abstract

Since the invention of writing, it is important that understand how information has undergone change, how the raw data has transformed into meaningful information, and how the acquired knowledge has made contribution to human development by reflecting on their culture and life style. In this process, it is emphasized the role of transformation of reliable, consistent information and also information which is open to criticism, in company with reason, experiment and observation, to cumulative information in the context of improving human life quality. In this study, in addition to the function of imparting information of education, it is also examined the importance of growing up as individuals who know how to learn learning, who use what they learned in their life, who research, query, add information to their information and who think analytically and logically.

Yazının bulunduğu tarihten itibaren, bilginin nasıl bir değişim izlediği; işlenmemiş bilgininnasıl enformasyona dönüştüğü, edinilen bilginin kültüre ve yaşam biçimine dönüşerek insanıngelişimine nasıl katkıda bulunduğu önem taşımaktadır. Bu süreçte insanın yaşam kalitesininartmasında akıl, deney ve gözlemle beraber, güvenilir, tutarlı ve eleştiriye açık bilginin, bilgibirikimine dönüşmesinin rolü üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ayrıca, eğitimin bilgiaktarıcılığı işlevinin yanında; bireylerin öğrenmeyi öğrenen, öğrendiği bilgiyi yaşamındakullanan, araştıran, sorgulayan, bilgisine bilgi katan, analitik düşünebilen kişiler olarakyetişmesinin önemi irdelenmektedir.
