A study of the relation between $Zn^{+2}$, total protein and albumin in the serum in some diseases

Abstract

In this study the amount of $Zn^{+2}$, in the serums of healthy and patients persons was determined. In addition, assays were performed to find out the amount of total protein and albumin in the same samples so as to evaluate the relationship among these parameters. To do these blood samples were taken from 20 healthy persons, 20 cirrhosis, 20 diabetes mellitus (Type-I) and chronic kidney patients were entered to dialyses. The amounts of $Zn^{+2}$ in these groups found were 123.4±20.8, 51.5±14.7, 115.6+21.7 and 106.4±21.1 respectively. In all groups the correlation and "t test" were applied between $Zn^{+2}$, albumin and total protein. In addition, the comparison was made between the value of healthy group and patients groups. The reduction of amount of $Zn^{+2}$ in cirrhosis patient was highly significant (t: 4.3095, P0.05), whereas it was significant in cirrhosis patients (t:3.000, P0.5). Bu çalışmada sağlıklı ve hasta kişilere ait serumlarda, $Zn^{+2}$ tayini yapılmış, aynı numuneler için total protein ve albumin ölçümleride yapılarak, aralarındaki ilişki aydınlatılmak istenmiştir. Bu amaçla 20 sağlıklı, 20 sirozlu, 20 diabetes mellituslu (Tip-I) ve 20 dialize giren kronik böbrek hastasından kan alınmıştır. Bu kişilere ait serum Zn , X±SD değerleri sırasıyla; 123.4±20.8, 51.5±14.7, 115.6±21.7 ve 106.4±21.1 bulunmuştur.
