An Examination of Edip Cansevers Poems in the context of Psyconalytic Literatue Theory

Psikanalitik Edebiyat Kuramı Bağlamında Edip Cansever’in Şiirleri Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Psychoanalysis is a science that is closely related to psychoanalysis and tries to find treatment methods by addressing the unconscious aspect of the mind and psychological disorders. Psychoanalytic literary theory is an attempt to reveal the unconscious and subconscious aspects of the artist. Psychoanalytic criticism examines the literary work in terms of the psychological structure and subconscious elements of the artist in general. The sexual attitudes of the artist are often added to this examination. Freud describes dreams as manifestations of the unconscious and literary work as dreams. For this reason, the artist tends to write literary works as a result of suppressed emotions. The subconscious and unconscious aspects of the characters occupy an important place in Edip Cansever's poems. Edip Cansever focuses on the unconscious and unconscious aspects of the individual in many poetry books, especially starting from the Umutsuzlar Parkı. In his poems, the internal and external conflicts of the individual are widely covered. These internal and external conflicts cause the poet's poetic characters to be non-communicative, to feel loneliness and nothingness deeply and to have pathological structures. Edip Cansever's poetry characters are generally depressive. The vital activities of individuals in this structure have been minimized. In Cansever's poems, it is seen that individuals are usually in search and escape. Alcohol and woman come to the forefront as the objects or beings directed by his poetry persons. One of the important psychoanalytic elements in his poems is the instincts of life-death (eros-thanatos). The aim of this article is to examine Edip Cansever's poems within the framework of psychoanalytic literary theory.

Psikanaliz, ruh çözümlemesi ile yakından ilgili olup zihnin bilinçdışı yönünü, psikolojik bozuklukları ele alarak tedavi yöntemleri bulmaya çalışan bir ilimdir. Psikanalitik edebiyat kuramı, sanatçının özellikle bilinçdışı ve bilinçaltı yönlerini açığa çıkarmaya çalışan bir kuramdır. Psikanalitik eleştiri, edebi eseri genel olarak sanatçının psikolojik yapısı ve bilinçaltı unsurları açısından inceler. Bu incelemeye çoğu zaman sanatçının cinsel tutumları da eklenir. Freud, rüyaları bilinçaltının tezahürü, edebi eseri ise rüya olarak niteler. Bu sebeple sanatçı bastırılan duyguları sonucu edebi eser yazmaya yönelir. Edip Cansever’in şiirlerinde karakterlerin bilinçaltı ve bilinçdışı yönleri önemli yer tutar. Edip Cansever, özellikle Umutsuzlar Parkı’ndan başlayarak birçok şiir kitabında bireyin bilinçaltı ve bilinçdışı yönlerine ağırlık verir. Onun şiirlerinde bireyin iç ve dış çatışmalarına geniş yer verilir. Şairin şiir karakterlerinin iletişimsiz olmalarına, yalnızlık ve hiçliği derinden hissetmelerine ve patolojik yapılarına bu iç ve dış çatışmalar sebep olur. Edip Cansever’in şiir karakterleri genelde depresiftir. Bu yapıdaki bireylerin hayati faaliyetleri asgariye inmiş durumdadır. Cansever’in şiirlerinde bireylerin genellikle bir arayış ve kaçış içerisinde oldukları görülür. Onun şiir kişilerinin yöneldiği nesne veya varlıklar olarak alkol ve kadın ön plana çıkar. Onun şiirlerinde önemli psikanalitik unsurlardan biri de yaşam-ölüm (eros-thanatos) içgüdüleridir. Bu makalede amaç, Edip Cansever’in şiirlerini psikanalitik edebiyat kuramı çerçevesinde incelemektir.
