Investigation of Career Stresses Caused by Some Variables of Vocational School of Health Services Students

Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to examine the relationship between students' career stresses and various variables. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 630 students at health services vocational school using the career stress scale. Results: As a result of the study, it was found that students' gender was effective in career stress attitude. At the same time, it was concluded that being unsure about what to do after graduating the department they study, the attitude of the society towards the profession, and satisfaction with the program they study also affected the career stress score. Conclusion: According to the results of the study, career counseling may be suggested to make the right career choice.
Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma öğrencilerin kariyer stresleri ile çeşitli değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma 630 sağlık hizmetleri meslek yüksekokulu öğrencisi üzerinde kariyer stres ölçeği kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilerin cinsiyetinin kariyer stres tutumunda etkili olduğu bulunmuştur. Aynı zamanda okudukları bölümü bitirince ne yapacağını bilmeme duygusu, toplumun mesleğe karşı tutumu, okudukları programdan memnuniyet durumunun da kariyer stres düzeylerini etkilediği sonucuna varılmıştır. Sonuç: Çalışma sonuçlarına göre ise öğrencilerin doğru meslek seçimi yapabilmesi için kariyer danışmanlığı alması önerilebilir.
