Abstract
The increasing competition, depending on globalization, further increased the importance of the cooperationbetween university and industry. At present, the most important components of regional development consist of the universities,governmental institutes, and industry.. In this context, with the increasing importance of university- industry cooperation, thesuccess mostly became dependent on the information and as a consequence of this, the need of business enterprises for thequalified labor force increased. Since university-industry cooperation reflected a social and cultural situation, it is necessary toknow the features of both university and industry. University, according to the run, for understanding the origin of problemswithout having any time concern, making long termed studies, publicizes its knowledge. Industry, providing a competitiveadvantage, in a way that the control and knowledge will belong to it itself during studies, also undertakes the responsibility ofrisks. By knowing the features of these two factors, in way of cooperation, it is important to know that the sociocultural, politicaland economic instruments will also give direction to this cooperation. It is necessary to evaluate the expectations of bothuniversity and industry, and their aims and experiences, according to the conditions they are in.
Özet
Küreselleşmeye bağlı olarak artan rekabet üniversite ile sanayi arasındaki işbirliğinin önemini daha da arttırmaktadır.Günümüzde de bölgesel kalkınmanın en önemli bileşenlerini üniversiteler, devlet kurumları ve sanayi oluşturmaktadır. Bubağlamda üniversite-sanayi işbirliğinin artan önemiyle başarı daha çok bilgiye bağlı hale gelmiş ve bunun sonucunda işletmelerinnitelikli işgücü gereksinimleri artmıştır. Üniversite-sanayi işbirliği toplumsal ve kültürel bir durumu yansıttığı için hemüniversitenin hem sanayinin özelliklerini bilmek gerekmektedir. Üniversite evrensel işleyişe göre; problemlerin kaynağınıanlamak için zaman endişesi taşımadan, uzun süreli araştırmalar yaparak, bilgisini topluma açmaktadır. Sanayi ise rekabetüstünlüğü sağlayarak, araştırmalarda hâkimiyetin ve bilginin kendisine ait olacağı şekilde risklerin sorumluluğunu da almaktadır.Bu iki faktörün özelliklerini bilerek, işbirliği yolunda da sosyo-kültürel, ekonomik ve politik araçlarında bu işbirliğine yönvereceğini bilmek önemlidir. Hem üniversitenin hem sanayinin beklentilerini, amaçlarını ve deneyimlerini bulundukları koşullaragöre değerlendirmek gerekmektedir.
