Resource value of el-Burhan fî- Ulûmi l-Kur an

Abstract

After presenting a rundown on Bedreddîn ez-Zerkeşî and his book el-Burhan fî Ulûmi l- Kur an , a masterpiece in the ' eld of Qur an sciences, th e determination of resources in the book was evinced in this study. Th en having a general assessment and criticism of these resources, the resource value of el-Burhan was proved. When the sources of el-Burhan ' Ulumi l Kur an are evaluate d in general, after some informati- on about a historical overview of the knowledge of Qur an has been given, it has been used to serve a linguistic approach within the logi c of the Arabic language. Ez-zerkeşi having devoted a great deal of the book to the appl ication of this method, have not only compiled historical data about the knowledge of Quran but also elaborately used the data, which attracts the attention on the genuine u sage of the Qur an s language, which overlaps the aim of the book s copyright.
